There is clearly no such thing as job security as long as you’re working for someone else.  Any employee, even the best, can and will always be replaceable.

Ultimately, you have to take matters into your own hands and make your own success and security.

This cold, wet, miserable laundry day, almost sick, and toting 3 large loads of laundry down 2 flights of stairs, across the parking lots, to our apartment’s little laundromat… and back up, and back down, etc., has prompted me to have wild and exciting fantasies of my lovely dream laundry room…..which, today, would be any laundry room warm inside, with me. =)

How easy it must be to stay charming and adorable if you have friends who, by default, bend over backwards to sweetly kiss your ass and make your life as beautiful as possible.  …which I believe is mostly what makes a good friend. Certainly, we need those close to us to build us up and give us the courage to take on the world and fight our own hard battles every day.  I hope and strive to be that kind of friend to those few whom I trust and love the most.
However, truly, it takes no courage to go to Disneyland.   And in the real world, and in real relationships, the people closest to you are most often the very ones who give you the hardest time. They’re the ones who will judge you most harshly, and criticize you the most blatantly, even as they expect the most of you, and even while you are doing your best to give it.
Hey Karma… I have a list of people you forgot.  Just saying…

Quickie Happiness Workshop for Increasing Profits at Times of Seeming Peril:

Think as much, if not more, about growing your income as you do of trimming your expenses.

And for extra credit, Cheri, focus on customers more than vendors; smiles more than frowns; possibilities more than risks; options more than commitments; vacations more than overtime; detours more than setbacks; opportunities more than obstacles; and Goldilocks more than the bears.

End of Workshop -

Consistent effort, Cheri, no matter how small, sparks magic, fills sails, butters bread, turns tides, instills faith, summons friends, improves health, burns calories, creates abundance, yields clarity, builds courage, spins planets, and rewrites destinies.

No matter how small,
